Here is a simple recipe for preparing a duck breast in the oven with homemade beer made with your brewing kit:

Ingredients:

1 duck breast

1 bottle of beer

Salt, pepper

Herbes de Provence (optional)

Preparation: Preheat your oven to 200 °C (thermostat 6-7).

Place the duck breast in a gratin dish.

Salt and pepper the duck breast on each side. You can also add a mixture of Herbes de Provence on each side.

Pour the bottle of home brewing beer into the gratin dish, around the duck breast. Bake the duck breast for 20 minutes. Remove the duck breast from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Serve the duck breast hot with the reduced beer sauce, with potatoes or vegetables of your choice.

Enjoy your meal! You can enjoy with a beer from the same batch!

To go further :

It is not necessary to cover the gratin dish containing the duck breast during cooking. In fact, the homemade beer will evaporate during cooking and will help keep the moisture of the meat.

However, if you want the skin of the duck breast to be crispy and golden, you can leave the duck breast naked in the gratin dish and put it in the oven for 20 minutes at 200°C (thermostat 6-7). If you prefer the meat to be more tender and juicy, you can cover the gratin dish with aluminum foil before putting the duck breast in the oven. In this case, it is recommended to cook the duck breast for about 30 minutes at 200°C (thermostat 6-7).

Don't forget to let the duck breast rest well once cooked before slicing.
